Feel the Fear

This was written with a traditional horror film in mind. Picture ghostly apparitions, vampires, zombies, every classic horror character chasing you around a haunted mansion. I’ve mixed classical orchestral sounds with contemporary warped electronic sounds and drums building to craziness to quicken the heart rate of the listener.

The Western plains. Tumbleweeds are tumbling. Trouble is brewing. Slowly… There is a feeling of impending danger. Nobody knows from which direction. The uncertainty builds into dread. I’ve used some of my favourite abstract library sounds and manipulated and twisted them to evoke a feeling of uneasiness, building with orchestral samples to the climax.

Having been forced to make an excruciating decision, a man slowly realises the repercussions of what he has done. I used 80s electronica, distorted guitars (both sampled and played live through effects), orchestral timpani for punctuation, and an ethereal choir to build the feelings of evil and fear.
